This Kolsch is a light-bodied beer with a subtle fruitiness, and sometimes with a subtle noble hop aroma. Originating from Germany, this very pale coloured beer is brewed with a European ale yeast. Can be brewed Low or Mid, from 2.6% to 4.8% ABV. See can for recipe options. Specifications (approx.) of 23L made with 1kg dextrose or brewing sugar: Colour - Pale straw, 5 EBC; Bitterness - Low-medium, 17 IBU; Grist - Pale malt, wheat malt; Wort - OG 1.038; FG 1.008 (approx.); Yeast - European Ale Yeast. Dry Hop Additions: Option to dry-hop to add a subtle hop aroma with just 10-30g or more of noble hops like Tettnanger, Hallertau, or Saaz, or more local versions like Motueka or Wakatu.
